Navratai Special Dishes – KhusKhus Aloo

Khuskhus (roasted poppy seeds) खस-खस   – 2 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Potatoes  – 4 (Medium size – peeled and cubed)
Salt  – 1/2 tsp (according to taste)
Green Chillies 1-2
Dry Red Chillies 1-2
Turmeric powder
Fresh Coriander- Chopped
Lemon juice – tbsp
Cashews pieces (roasted or fried)
Golden fry the potatoes seperately.
Blend khuskhus, green chillies,lemon juice.
Fry red chilies in oil with a pinch of turmeric in a pan with lid.
Add the khuskhus paste.
Stir for a minute or so.
Add the golden fried potatoes and salt.
Add 2-3 tbsp of water.
Cook the potatoes for 5 minutes covered on simmer.
Garnish with coriander and cashews.
